PhotoExtract a beautiful bird

| Lets start, Get any picture i have chose a beatifull bird : |

| Go to Filter and Select Extract to make the bird Trasparent, see the below example : |
 |
| In Extract window look at right side and then make the below changes, i have forgotted to check the Smart Highlighting Box, so please also check the Smart Highlighting Box, see the below example : |
 |
| Look at the below image it will tell you about the using tools : |
 |
| Click on the Edge Highlighter Tools and circle the bird Edges, see the below example : |
 |
| Click on the Fill Tools and then fill the red circled area with fill tools, see the below example : |
 |
| Click Ok button in Extract Window and then you will see the bird trasparent, see the below example : |
 |
| Look at the below image, i have make some mistakes now errase that by using the Eraser Tools ( E ), see the below example : |
 |
| Now you can put this bird any where, you’r finished. |
 |

What if when you do this it extracts part of the image you want to keep? Like for instance if it took some of the feathers off the birds tailfeathers? What do you do to get it back?

Simple and effective instructions!!
One thing to maybe add, increase the size to a larger percentage before setting the mask. Yes, this will take more time because of constantly moving around the image. But, I’ve found it cuts down dramatically on the “clean up” process afterward.

I don’t have the Extract as one of my filters on PS CS4?
